MTN Nigeria Communications Plc has joined other professionals across media, technology, and business gathered in Lagos for the Swish Fusion Tech and Media Summit.

Themed ‘Africa: Big Wins & New Breaks’, the summit drew thousands of attendees and featured more than 40 speakers exploring the intersection of innovation, regulation, and economic growth across the continent.

Innovation took center stage at the Swish Fusion Tech and Media Summit, held at the Balmoral Centre, Victoria Island. With the theme “Africa: Big Wins & New Breaks,” the event brought together thousands of professionals from media, technology, and business to explore how African enterprises are shaping the continent’s digital future.

Founder and Convener of Swish Fusion, Theophilus Akhimie, has said Swish Fusion seeks to address challenges in Africa’s retail, media and tech sectors through collaboration and exposure.
Akhimie said this at the first edition of the Swish Fusion Tech and Media Summit, Conference and Expo, known as Swish Fusion 25, themed: ‘Africa: Big Wins and New Breaks.’

The summit’s grand entrance was marked by a historical first: Samsung’s Unpacked demos were showcased on a foreign stage for the very first time, a testament to Swish Fusion’s growing prominence. This exclusive feature, alongside other groundbreaking presentations, underscored the summit’s commitment to delivering unparalleled insights and experiences. 

The Swish Fusion Tech and Media Summit, (Swish Fusion 25), has emphasised the importance of collaboration and innovation in fostering Africa’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The confrence, theme: Africa; Big Wins and New Breaks, was attended by representatives from the retail (e-commerce/BNPL), media, and tech sectors across Africa and its diaspora.

The Balmoral Convention Centre at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, became the epicentre of innovation as Swish Fusion Media & Tech Summit – Swish Fusion 25, powered by Samsung, attracted more than 1,000 thought leaders, innovators, and policy influencers. Under the banner “Africa: The Future of Retail, Media & Tech,” the summit showcased Lagos as a leading hub of Africa’s creative and technological evolution.

The inaugural Swish Fusion Media and Tech Summit, Conference and Expo, aptly themed “Africa: Big Wins and New Breaks,” convened over the weekend, drawing a distinguished cohort of industry leaders and innovators.

The Zone in Gbagada Industrial Scheme became the epicentre for a thought-provoking gathering that explored the future of Western and indigenous collaboration within Africa’s burgeoning media and technology sectors.
